The second hearing of the case, in which 47 defendants, 26 of whom are detained, are accused of transferring emergency infant patients to private hospitals with which they had previously agreed, leading to their deaths and unjust profits, was held at the Bakırköy 22nd High Criminal Court. REQUESTED TO POSTPONE THE HEARINGDuring the hearing held in the courthouse's conference hall, some detained and non-detained defendants and their lawyers were present. The lawyer of the detained defendant Fırat Sarı, Sinan İnan, stated, "I have not met with the defendant; if any action is to be taken and I am to make a defense, I need to see the file. I request the hearing to be postponed." The panel, evaluating the request, decided to continue the hearing. ESCORTED OUT OF THE ROOMWhile the defendant's lawyer reacted to the decision, a brief argument occurred between the presiding judge and the lawyer. Following this, Fırat Sarı's lawyer was escorted out of the room for disrupting the order of the hearing. Other lawyers also reacted to the situation, leading to a brief discussion in the courtroom. During the continuation of the hearing, the lawyer of the defendant İlker Gönen stated, "The court is not collecting evidence, nor is it evaluating the evidence we have collected." INTERIM DECISION ANNOUNCED IN THE CASEThe court, announcing its interim decision in the case, decided to send the file to the Bakırköy 23rd High Criminal Court for the evaluation of the defendants' lawyers' request for disqualification of the judge and ruled for the continuation of the detention of all detained defendants.
