In the investigation into the death of H.K., a disabled person staying at the Hazar Baba Care Rehabilitation and Family Counseling Center in the Sivrice district of Elazığ, 4 of the 14 suspects taken into custody were arrested. The investigation identified allegations of ill-treatment of disabled individuals, inadequate hygiene, staff negligence, and money being taken from patients' relatives under the name of pocket money. 6 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
Four of the 14 suspects detained in the investigation into the death of a disabled individual staying at the Hazar Baba Care Rehabilitation and Family Counseling Center in the Sivrice district of ELAZIĞ were arrested.
ALLEGATIONS OF MALTREATMENT AND POCKET MONEY AT CARE CENTER
An investigation was launched under the coordination of the Elazığ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the death of H.K., a disabled individual staying at the Hazar Baba Care Rehabilitation and Family Counseling Center in Sivrice district.
In the investigation conducted by the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate of the Provincial Police Department, allegations were identified of maltreatment of disabled individuals, inadequate hygiene conditions, staff negligence, and money being taken from patients' relatives under the name of pocket money.
OPERATION AGAINST 14 SUSPECTS, UNLICENSED WEAPONS FOUND AT ADDRESSES
The 14 suspects identified within the scope of the investigation were detained in an operation held yesterday. During searches at the addresses, 2 unlicensed handguns and 1 unlicensed hunting rifle were seized.
Following their procedures at the police station and their referral to the courthouse, 4 of the suspects were arrested, 6 were released under judicial control conditions, and the other suspects were released.
