An investment mobilization is starting in 8 provinces with a huge incentive package covering the Aegean Region. Projects in many areas, from smart agriculture to geothermal greenhouses, from tourism to industry, will receive cash support reaching 301 million TL and tax reductions of up to 50%.
Under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, incentives will be provided for investments in many areas, such as smart agriculture applications in geothermal greenhouses to be built in the provinces of the Aegean Region, through the Local Development Drive Incentive Program.
Within the scope of the Local Development Drive Incentive Program under the coordination of the Ministry, support will be provided to 8 cities in the Aegean Region to initiate development from the local level by evaluating local production potential, mobilizing idle resources, and meeting local needs.
NATURE-BASED TOURISM INVESTMENTS IN IZMIR WILL BE SUPPORTED
The priority sectors identified to increase investment and production potential in the Aegean Region vary according to the economic structure of the provinces.
To accelerate regional development, it is foreseen to support investments in different fields in Izmir, Manisa, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, and Uşak.
Within this scope, among the areas to be supported, the production of functional food materials derived from seafood with transfer components stands out in Izmir, known as the "Pearl of the Aegean," while nature-based tourism investments and qualified cultural industry projects in the districts of the Küçük Menderes Basin can receive incentives.
PRIORITY IN MANISA IS IN AGRICULTURE, CLIMATE CONTROL, AND WHITE GOODS TECHNOLOGIES
In Manisa, the production of smart agricultural technologies, machinery, and equipment, and integrated geothermal greenhouse investments with a minimum size of 20 decares will be supported. The production of critical components for the climate control and white goods sectors and obtaining value-added products from agricultural waste are also listed among the priority areas to be supported.
HARVEST ROBOTS IN AYDIN, TOURISM IN DENIZLI, BOAT AND YACHT INDUSTRY IN MUGLA STAND OUT
In Aydın, smart agriculture applications such as machines with precise dosing systems and harvest robots will be encouraged. Alternative tourism investments, processing of agricultural products, and production of high-economic-value industrial dairy products are also among the investment areas determined for this province.
In Denizli, alongside nature-based tourism investments, areas such as medium and high-tech machinery and automation systems, high value-added technical textile and functional fabric production, and wire and cable production investments will receive support.
In Muğla, ecological life-based elderly care and health centers, evaluation of marble waste, aquatic products and value-added production based on them, and investments in the boat and yacht industry will be encouraged.
SUPPORT FOR BUFFALO FARMING IN AFYONKARAHISAR, TEXTILE IN USAK, MINERAL PROCESSING IN KUTAHYA
In Afyonkarahisar, buffalo farming with a capacity of at least 300 heads and integrated production facilities, aquaculture with geothermal resources, evaluation of slaughterhouse waste, and production of value-added products from marble waste are among the priority areas.
In Kütahya, 5-star accommodation facilities, mineral processing and value-added product production, automotive sub-industry components, and technical ceramic production are listed among the investments to be supported.
In Uşak, projects for the production of technical and industrial felt, textile chemicals, textile machinery and parts, and the recovery of textile and leather waste have been determined as priority sectors.
It is aimed that the identified investment topics will increase the production capacity of the Aegean Region, support employment, and accelerate development in high value-added sectors.
