Such discussions were held during the administrations of both former President Rouhani and the late President Raisi."
TRUMP HAD WRITTEN A LETTER TO KHAMENEI
U.S. President Donald Trump sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating in his letter that he wanted to negotiate a nuclear agreement with Iran, saying, "I hope you will negotiate. Because it will be much better for Iran. I think they are also waiting for the letter. The other alternative is that we have to do something. Because you cannot allow another nuclear weapon."
Subsequently, Trump's letter was conveyed to Khamenei by Anwar Gargash, an advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi, in a program he attended on state television, made statements regarding Trump's letter, saying, "The letter mainly contains threats but also claims that there are some so-called opportunities. We have worked on all aspects of the letter and examined every point carefully. In the response to be given, all these aspects will be taken into account, and both the threats and opportunities will be considered."
