The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it retaliated with ballistic missiles against attacks carried out by the United States on Iran using bases in Jordan. Under Operation "Nasr 2," a large American military base in the Azraq region of Jordan was targeted, and it was stated that a new US military command and control center and a fighter jet hangar were hit with direct hits and destroyed.
Tensions are high between the US and Iraq. In an official statement by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was reported that severe retaliation was carried out against US airstrikes on various points in Iran.
US BASE IN AZRAQ TARGETED
Iran conducted the 8th wave of 'Nasr 2' operation in response to US attacks. It was reported that in the ballistic missile strike targeting the American military base in Jordan's Azraq region, the new US command and control center and warplane hangar were hit with direct precision and destroyed.
REASON FOR RETALIATION
The Revolutionary Guard's statement also included striking claims about the background of the operation. It stated that in yesterday's attacks by the US using air bases in Jordan, the vicinity of a children's cancer hospital in Iran was targeted.
It was emphasized that due to the bombardment and the resulting danger, 121 child patients being treated at the hospital had to be urgently evacuated from the building.
CALL FOR "RESISTANCE" TO THE PEOPLE OF JORDAN
In the final part of the statement, citizens of Jordan, where the operation was carried out, were directly addressed and asked to take action against the US presence. The message included the following expressions:
"Do not allow the holy lands of Jordan to be used for these crimes against children. Strike US interests with all your might and cleanse your lands of American occupiers."
