Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that they have gained political and military superiority over the US and Israel, adding that the achievements in war will be shaped at the negotiation table.
Iranian Parliament and Negotiation Team Speaker Mohammad Bagher Kalibaf, claiming victory against the US and Israel, stated that they achieved their goals by using military force during the negotiation process.
Speaking after the alleged 14-point agreement between the US and Iran, Kalibaf made striking remarks, noting that they also utilized military power during the negotiations.
STRIKING STATEMENT FROM IRAN
The Iranian press published an interview with Iranian Parliament and Negotiation Team Speaker Mohammad Bagher Kalibaf after a senior US official shared the alleged 14-point text of the agreement between the US and Iran with the public for the first time.
“WE DEFEATED THE US AND THE ZIONIST REGIME”
In the interview, Kalibaf stated that they did not allow the US and Israel to achieve the 9 goals set at the beginning of the war, saying, “The world’s number one power in political, economic, and military terms confronted us alongside Israel. The conflict scene of this war had global implications, and it was an international matter. We defeated the US and the Zionist regime. During the negotiations, we responded to the enemy’s actions in the Persian Gulf. Two enemy frigates attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz were hit and burned. Meanwhile, all airports from which enemy planes took off were struck in their respective countries. These events occurred while negotiations were ongoing. When Israel struck Dahieh, we threatened and gave an ultimatum that we would retaliate against the US, demanding that our requests be accepted. Subsequently, the US President was forced to post that Netanyahu did not have the right to attack Dahieh.”
“I CONDUCT DIPLOMACY WITH A WARRIOR SPIRIT”
Describing himself as a warrior, Kalibaf argued that diplomacy and military power are carried out together.
Kalibaf said, “I conduct diplomacy with a warrior spirit. We achieved through negotiation what we wanted to obtain through military action, or even more. We won the war, and the gains will be shaped in the negotiations.”
