An Iranian citizen, indicating that they had planned to stay in Turkey a little longer, said, "We came to Turkey for tourism. We were going to stay a bit longer, but the war broke out. That's why we are returning to our homeland. Turkey has many beautiful places to visit. We also went to Sultanahmet. But now we want to return to support our country and be with our people," he said.
"MY COUNTRY COMES FIRST"
Another Iranian expressing the desire to support his country said, "They are harming our homeland and our people. Now I want to be with them. I want to help my country as much as I can. My homeland and my land come first." A citizen who stated that they could not get sufficient information due to internet outages in Iran also noted that they want to return to their country to follow the developments on-site.
"MY MILITARY DUTY HAS COME"
Another Iranian, who indicated that he returned earlier than planned due to the war, stated that he wants to fulfill his military duty, saying, "We returned a bit early for the war. We are going to support our country. We grew up there. When I go, I will go to the army. My military time has already come. Two years of military service is required in Iran. I will do whatever I can to support my country," he said. An Iranian trying to return to his country through the border gate after coming from Istanbul to Van also mentioned that some cities in Iran have been targeted, saying, "They hit Salmas too. That's why we are returning as well."
