The demonstrators attempted to enter the Green Zone, which was closed to traffic, chanting anti-American slogans.
INTERVENTION WITH SOUND BOMBS AND TEAR GAS
Security forces used sound bombs and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Iraqi forces are taking extensive security measures in the Green Zone, which includes government buildings, and especially around the U.S. Embassy.
