Following the request of electricity distribution companies, an increase in electricity bills has come to the agenda. It has been claimed that there will be a 25% increase in electricity prices starting from April 1st. Speaking on the matter, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated, "We will look into it and evaluate."

After the quota imposed on electricity bills in February, this time electricity distribution companies requested a price increase for electricity, citing rising costs as the reason. Following these requests, the claim that the energy summit would increase electricity prices by 25% had come to the agenda. It was suggested that the increase would take effect from April 1st.

In response to news on the subject, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar was asked. Minister Dönmez stated, "We will look into it, we will evaluate."

A KILOWATT-HOUR LIMIT HAD BEEN IMPOSED

There will be no change in the application where state support will not be provided if the electricity consumption exceeds 417 kilowatt-hours. This application, which is thought to affect 1.2 million subscribers, was implemented in February. The relevant tariff concerned bills exceeding approximately 1,050 TL. After the expected increase, the bill is anticipated to rise to around 1,315 TL.
