In Izmir's Karabaglar district, 6-year-old Isil K. was severely injured when she was hit by a moving vehicle while trying to retrieve her ball that had rolled under a school bus. The little girl died in the hospital despite all interventions.
A heartbreaking incident occurred yesterday at 19:30 in Şehitler Neighborhood, Karabağlar district of İzmir. According to allegations, A.D., driving a school service bus, stopped upon seeing children playing football on the road.

As the driver then moved forward, he struck Işıl K., who had gone under the vehicle to retrieve a ball that had rolled under the left rear wheel. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The child, who was critically injured, was taken to İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Education and Research Hospital but could not be saved despite intervention. Police have taken driver A.D. into custody. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
