Israel has appealed the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. In a statement made by the Prime Minister's Office, it was claimed that Tel Aviv's appeal application "detailed how absurd the arrest decision is and that it lacks any factual or legal basis." The statement suggested that if the ICC rejects the appeal, it would only demonstrate how biased the ICC is against Israel. The ICC had issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant on November 21 for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
