In the attack carried out by the Israeli army on the town of Kefr Rumman in southern Lebanon, 11 people lost their lives, including two infants and two health workers.
It has been reported that 11 people, including 2 infants and 2 healthcare workers, lost their lives in attacks carried out by the Israeli army on the town of Kefr Rumman in southern Lebanon. According to local sources, one of the attacks targeted a three-story residential building, and a vehicle carrying healthcare workers on duty in the area was also struck.
The Israeli army's attacks on the Nabatieh region in southern Lebanon continue. According to the latest information from Lebanon, nighttime attacks on the town of Kefr Rumman resulted in casualties.
Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a three-story residential building in Kefr Rumman. The building completely collapsed following the attack, and efforts were initiated to rescue those trapped under the rubble.
2 INFANTS LOST THEIR LIVES
According to the latest information from the region, 9 people, including 2 infants, lost their lives in the attack on the residential building, and 5 people were injured. It was reported that search efforts are ongoing to determine whether missing individuals are still under the rubble.
Kefr Rumman had also been among the targets of Israeli attacks the previous day. In the initial toll announced by the Lebanese Ministry of Health for September 6, it was reported that 4 women were injured in the town. It was also stated that attacks carried out by Israel on different points in Nabatieh and its surroundings on the same day resulted in deaths and injuries.
VEHICLE WITH HEALTHCARE WORKERS WAS ALSO HIT
Later, a vehicle containing healthcare workers in Kefr Rumman was also targeted in an Israeli attack. Some local sources announced that 2 healthcare workers lost their lives in the attack. Thus, the reported total death toll in the attacks on the town rose to 11.
However, initial reports on the attack contained different figures regarding the death toll. Anadolu Agency and some Lebanese sources reported that 1 healthcare worker was killed and 2 were injured in the attack on the first aid vehicle. Therefore, the information from different sources regarding the exact number of deaths in the vehicle attack has not yet fully converged.
ATTACKS IN THE REGION CONTINUE
The Israeli army's attacks were not limited to Kefr Rumman. Various areas in and around Nabatieh were also targeted by air and artillery strikes.
According to information attributed to the Lebanese Ministry of Health on September 6, 2 people were killed and 2 were injured in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. In Arab Salim, 2 women lost their lives and 6 people were injured. In Nabatieh, it was reported that 8 people, including women and children, were injured.
ISRAEL CITED HEZBOLLAH'S DRONE ATTACK AS JUSTIFICATION
The Israeli army argued that its attacks on southern Lebanon were carried out following the sending of unmanned aerial vehicles by Hezbollah towards Israeli soldiers. The Israeli army announced that one of these drones had been shot down.
