Within the scope of the investigation into allegations of bribery and bid-rigging at Uşak Municipality, a decision was made to release 6 people who had been arrested. As a result of the routine detention review, the release of former CHP Uşak Provincial Chair Celalettin Çoban, former Uşakspor Chair Özhan Özgöbek, trade unionist Cihan Aras, and 3 municipal employees was ordered.
In the investigation conducted by the Uşak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was decided to release 6 suspects who were in detention.
THEY HAD BEEN DETAINED IN MARCH AND APRIL
Within the scope of the investigation into allegations of “bribery” and “rigging a tender” at Uşak Municipality, operations were carried out on March 27 and April 20, 2026. Some of the suspects taken into custody during the operations were arrested.
RELEASE AFTER ROUTINE REVIEW
A routine detention review was conducted for detained suspects former CHP Uşak Provincial Chairman Celalettin Çoban, former Uşakspor Chairman Özhan Özgöbek, trade unionist Cihan Aras, and 3 municipal employees. As a result of the review, it was ruled that the 6 people be released.
