The Israeli army has redeployed some of its units from the Gaza Strip to the borders of Egypt and Jordan due to the ongoing war with Iran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has strengthened its borders with Egypt and Jordan while withdrawing its forces from the Gaza Strip due to ongoing conflicts with Iran.
FOUR DIVISIONS OPERATING IN GAZA
According to the army, the 98th Division, an elite formation consisting of paratroopers and commandos, was moved from Khan Younis to another location when the Iran conflict began, and currently, four IDF divisions are operating in Gaza. Nevertheless, tens of thousands of soldiers are active in the Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces states that it continues to eliminate Hamas militants in Gaza during the conflict in Iran, destroy terrorist infrastructure, including tunnels, and enhance its defense along the border with the Gaza Strip.
GILAD DIVISION DEPLOYED TO JORDAN
Meanwhile, the IDF reports that it has three times the normal number of forces along the Jordan border. Recently, the IDF deployed the newly established 96th "Gilad" Division to the northern part of the Jordan border, while the 80th "Edom" Division reinforced the southern section.
FORCES IN EGYPT ALSO REINFORCED
The 80th Division has also reinforced its units along the Egypt border. In northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces continues to defend against potential threats that may arise from Lebanon and Syria.
