The Israeli army targeted the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, about 10 kilometers from the Golan Heights in southern Syria, with artillery fire for the second time within 24 hours. The Israeli army has added another to its military maneuvers in Syrian territory. It was reported that Israeli forces carried out an artillery attack on the countryside of the town of Beit Jinn, located within the boundaries of the Damascus Countryside Governorate and known for its proximity to the occupied Golan Heights.
SECOND CONSECUTIVE ATTACK ON BEIT JINN COUNTRYSIDE
Israel, continuing its steps affecting regional security, keeps striking targets in southern Syria. According to information reported by Syria-based Sham TV, two artillery shells were fired by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) at the countryside of Beit Jinn, located approximately 10 kilometers from the Golan Heights. Initial examinations conducted in the area after the attack found no casualties, injuries, or material damage. The fact that the same spot had been targeted with three artillery shells by Israeli forces just a day earlier indicates the continuity of activity on the border.
"UNPRECEDENTED INTENSITY"
Syrian security sources described the attack with the phrase 'unprecedented intensity,' while infantry elements of the Israeli army raided many homes in the village of Rasm al-Akraf in Quneitra.
"NOT AN AIR OPERATION, BUT ARTILLERY FIRE"
A correction came from the Israeli press regarding the claims that "an airstrike was carried out on Damascus" following the sounds of explosions in the region. The online newspaper "Times of Israel" announced that the operation was not an air campaign directly targeting the capital Damascus, but that the target was the countryside of Beit Jinn and the attack was carried out solely with artillery fire. Meanwhile, no official statement has yet been made by the Israeli army (IDF) regarding the purpose of these repeated artillery barrages on the region.
