A Turkish woman working as a white-collar employee in the Netherlands recounted on social media the racist remarks she was subjected to by a Ukrainian colleague at work and the management's insensitivity to the incident. The victimized employee claimed that due to the negligence of the Human Resources department, evidence disappeared and the incident was covered up.

Describing the process she went through, the Turkish employee noted that the incident began with a direct attack on her culture. Stating that her Ukrainian colleague said "Turkish culture is an inferior culture," the employee said, "Despite warning her twice, she repeated these insults three times. So I immediately complained to human resources."

4-WEEK DELAY FROM HUMAN RESOURCES

The woman stated that after her complaint, an official from the Human Resources (HR) department spoke with her and promised to also talk to the other party, emphasizing that "for a full 4 weeks, no action was taken." She said she had to file a second complaint because the situation was left unresolved.

CAMERA RECORDINGS DELETED, EMPLOYEE WHO DENIED ONLY GOT A 'VERBAL WARNING'

The Turkish woman stated that after the second complaint, the Ukrainian employee, when confronted by the HR official, denied everything she had said, and she requested that security camera recordings be examined to reveal the truth. However, she was met with the HR official's response, "The footage is deleted after 7 days."
