THIS TIME THEY STRUCK NEAR A HOSPITAL: 2 DEAD, 23 WOUNDED

Most recently, the Israeli army struck a residential building near Jabal Amel University Hospital in the city of Tyre. The attack killed 2 people and wounded 23 others. The building, which is also the city's largest hospital, was damaged in the attack. Many sections of the hospital, including the intensive care unit, were damaged, and numerous medical equipment became unusable.

THE TOLL MOUNTS

In Lebanon, the death toll from Israeli army attacks on various regions of the country, including the capital Beirut, since March 2 has risen to at least 3,433, with the number of wounded reaching 10,395.

ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON LEBANON AND THE CEASEFIRE

The Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied many towns in the south of the country. During this process, the Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced people in the country had exceeded 1 million.

US President Donald Trump announced on April 24 that the 10-day temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which took effect on April 17, had been extended for another 3 weeks. Following the third round of talks mediated by the US between Lebanon and Israel on May 14-15, it was decided to extend the ceasefire for 45 days starting May 17 and to hold a fourth round of talks in early June.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues its attacks and house demolitions in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah launches attacks on Israeli forces on the grounds of violating the ceasefire.
