TRUMP: STRAIT OF HORMUZ COULD BE OPENED

US President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding negotiations with Iran. Trump stated that they might reach an agreement next week to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which is critical for global trade, to maritime traffic.

NEGOTIATIONS REACH A STALEMATE

However, some obstacles and contradictory statements between the parties in the diplomatic process draw attention. While the Iranian side claims it has suspended indirect talks with the US due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon, Trump denied these claims, asserting that contacts continue. Additionally, Iran's demand to charge fees from ships passing through the strait and the limitation of the nuclear program remain among the most sensitive points of the negotiations between the parties.

"TALKS WITH IRAN CONTINUE RAPIDLY"

Meanwhile, Trump stated that he had no knowledge of reports that Iran had suspended negotiations with the US. Trump said he had not received any information from Iran on this matter, but even if it were true, it was not a problem. Trump said, "Talks with Iran continue rapidly. To be honest, I think we were talking too much. I think staying quiet would be very good, and this situation could continue for a long time. This does not mean we will start dropping bombs there. We will just stay quiet and maintain the blockade. The blockade is a wall of steel."

SPOKE WITH NETANYAHU BY PHONE: NO TROOPS WILL BE SENT TO BEIRUT

When asked whether he could wait for Iran, Trump replied, "I think I can wait as long as they want. They are losing a fortune."

Additionally, Trump spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a statement following the call, Trump said, "I had a very productive call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. No troops will be sent to Beirut, and the troops that had already departed have been turned back."

Stating that he also had a very good conversation with Hezbollah through senior representatives, Trump said, "They also agreed to cease all conflicts. Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel."

IRAN SUSPENDS MESSAGE EXCHANGE

Iranian media had announced that Iran halted message exchanges with the US due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon. Citing an unnamed Iranian source, the report stated that there would be no "dialogue" until Iran's demands for an immediate end to Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon were met.
