Israeli warplanes launched an attack on Damascus, the capital of Syria. In a statement regarding the attack, which targeted a building and was accompanied by two loud explosions, Israeli Defense Minister Katz threatened, "Ahmed Shara will see Israeli planes flying above." It was claimed that Israel struck the headquarters of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement.
Israeli planes targeted a building in the Meşru Dummar area at 13:45 local time. During the attack, two loud explosions were heard, and smoke rose from the targeted building.
THEY THREATENED AHMED SHARA
The Israeli Ministry of Defense made a statement regarding the attack. In the statement, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz was quoted as saying, "Shara will see that Israeli planes are flying above and attacking terrorist targets," threatening Syrian President Ahmed Shara. Katz also claimed that they would not allow Syria to become a threat to Israel.
