Israeli soldiers will lay down their arms if a ceasefire is not signed.

As the ceasefire negotiations for Gaza, which Israel has been attacking for over a year, continue to heat up; a group of Israeli soldiers raised the flag of rebellion against the Israeli government.

"WE WILL LAY DOWN OUR ARMS IF NO AGREEMENT IS SIGNED"

About 200 Israeli soldiers published a letter stating that they would lay down their arms if a ceasefire is not signed. A former Israeli soldier who spoke to the Associated Press said, "I committed war crimes and I am sorry for what we did. We refuse to continue the war in Gaza. It took us time to digest what we saw in Gaza. Soldiers looted homes and properties to collect souvenirs," he stated.

CEASEFIRE IN GAZA

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who made a statement regarding the ceasefire agreement to be signed for Gaza, said they are very close to a ceasefire in Gaza and that an agreement could be reached this week.

On the other hand, Israeli President Isaac Herzog recently emphasized the critical importance of the coming days for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip, stating, "These are critical days for the release of prisoners. I support those involved in the negotiations and hope they reach an agreement soon."

Additionally, US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had a phone conversation regarding the negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
