The breasts of a 15-year-old girl living in Morocco reached a quarter of her body weight due to an extremely rare condition called "juvenile gigantomastia," which occurs during puberty. After a seven-hour surgery, the young girl regained her health, while doctors warned that the condition could recur.

A 15-year-old girl living in Morocco experienced an unusual process due to a rare health issue that emerged during adolescence. Her breasts, which began to grow rapidly at the age of 13, reached approximately 16.5 kilograms within two years, accounting for more than a quarter of her body weight.

The young girl, about 152 centimeters tall, suffered from constant back pain, poor posture, and even had difficulty walking because of the excessive growth. In addition to physical problems, it was reported that she was also psychologically affected and withdrew from her social life.

After examinations at Mohammed VI University Hospital, the young girl was diagnosed with juvenile gigantomastia, a rare condition occurring during adolescence that causes excessive breast growth. Although doctors could not detect any abnormalities in hormonal tests, they assessed that the condition might be related to extreme sensitivity to the estrogen hormone.

In an operation lasting about seven hours, doctors removed approximately 7.7 kilograms of tissue from each breast. The girl, who lost a significant amount of blood during the surgery, received a blood transfusion. It was reported that within a week after the operation, her back pain completely disappeared, her mobility increased, and her psychological condition significantly improved.

However, the treatment process did not end there. Due to tissue loss in part of the nipple after the surgery, the reconstruction operation was postponed for seven months. After a subsequent operation using skin taken from the groin area, it was announced that the chest appearance reached a satisfactory level eight months later.

Evaluating the case, doctors stated that due to the amount of tissue removed, this was one of the most unusual examples in her age group. Experts also noted that if hormonal changes recur, there is a possibility of the breasts growing again, and therefore the patient needs to be monitored for a long time.
