At the funeral, a fight broke out between Tayfur's estranged daughter Tuğçe Tayfur and relatives. Following the fight, during which insults were exchanged, a surprising claim emerged.

Ferdi Tayfur's lawyer, Hakan Tamgüç, stated on the program 'Söylemezsem Olmaz' that Tayfur had said about his daughter, "She shouldn't even sing my songs," and mentioned that they had filed a lawsuit regarding this matter, and that the date for the hearing had already been set.

The lawyer said that Ferdi Tayfur was subjected to insults from his daughter Tuğçe and her husband, stating, "His daughter hurt him, and a son-in-law made him endure insults... He had even decided to disown her due to the insults. I have insulting messages that Tuğçe sent to her father. I cannot speak about the content. I will make a statement later regarding the inheritance issue," he said.

Tamgüç also commented on Ferdi Tayfur's highly discussed inheritance, specifically regarding his house in Marmaris, saying, "Most of what is said about his assets is a lie. He has a small house at the far end of that island."
