In a food inspection carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams in Adapazarı district of Sakarya, 140 kilograms of chicken wings past their expiration date were seized. While the products determined to be unfit for human health were destroyed, administrative action was taken against the relevant business.
Teams of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry continue their inspections without interruption across the city to ensure food safety and protect consumers. In this context, teams conducting an examination at a warehouse in the Adapazarı district detected 140 kilograms of chicken wings for grilling that were stored contrary to regulations and had passed their expiration date.
PENALTY IMPOSED ON THE BUSINESS, PRODUCTS WERE DESTROYED
Following the inspection, the chicken meat determined to be unfit for human consumption was confiscated by the teams. While an administrative penalty was imposed on the business operating contrary to the regulations, the confiscated products were taken to a solid waste facility under the control of the teams and destroyed. Authorities stated that inspections will continue resolutely against irregularities that threaten public health.
