It was learned that the attacker who killed 8 people and injured 1 person in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar had divorced his wife approximately 2 years ago and was engaged in farming. It has not yet become clear why the attacker carried out the massacre.
In the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, Arif Sefa Özdemir (28) opened fire with a shotgun at S.P., who was leaving her home and trying to get into her vehicle in Orhangazi Neighborhood in the city center in the evening hours. Then, the individual got into his vehicle and shot and killed Ahmet Uzel (57), Bekir Toprak (50), Noman Toprak (56), Seydi Ahmet Aydoğmuş (73), Satı Aydoğmuş (68), İsmail Şen (61), Hilal Mete (31), and Ayşe Sena Demir (46), who were traveling in their vehicles in the villages of Yukarıtandır, Ayazini, and Kıyır in İhsaniye district, with a shotgun. It was reported that the health condition of S.P., the attacker's first target, remains serious.

It was learned that Arif Sefa Ö., who carried out the massacre, lived in Bozüyük village in İhsaniye district, divorced his wife about 2 years ago, and was the father of one child. It is still unknown why the attacker, who was stated to have farmed in the village and made his living this way, carried out the attack in which he killed 8 people and injured 1 person.
3 PUBLIC PROSECUTORS ARE CONDUCTING THE INVESTIGATION
The bodies of the 8 people who lost their lives in the attack were taken to the morgue of the Afyonkarahisar State Hospital Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy procedures. It was learned that the investigation into the incident is being conducted by 3 public prosecutors under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was stated that the bodies of those who lost their lives will be handed over to their families after the autopsy procedures are completed.
It was learned that the captured murder suspect Arif Sefa Ö. will be brought to the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Gendarmerie Command late at night.
