William Stevenson, the ex-husband of Jill Biden, the wife of former U.S. President Joe Biden, has been charged with murdering his 64-year-old wife. After being taken into custody, William Stevenson was brought to court on murder charges and was detained for failing to pay the $500,000 bail.

ARRESTED AFTER FAILING TO PAY BAIL
According to CNN, 77-year-old Stevenson was taken into custody in New Castle County, Delaware, on first-degree murder charges related to the death of his wife Linda. It was reported that William Stevenson, who was brought to court on murder charges, is being held at Howard Young Correctional Institution due to his inability to pay the $500,000 bail.
Police found Linda Stevenson unconscious at the home they went to in response to a domestic dispute report on December 28.
THEY WERE MARRIED FOR 5 YEARS
William Stevenson was married to Jill Biden from 1970 to 1975. In her memoir published in 2019, Jill Biden referred to this marriage, stating, "Looking back, this relationship may seem like a youthful mistake. However, I truly believed that we were made for each other once."
