Uludağ was detained in February on charges of "publicly insulting the president," "publicly disseminating misleading information," and "publicly denigrating the Turkish Republic's government and judicial bodies," and was arrested by the court he was brought before.
During the detention process, the prosecutor's office demanded that Uludağ remain in prison. However, the court issued a release decision and ruled that the trial would resume on September 18.
