After falling ill on May 14, Kadir İnanır was hospitalized, and tests revealed a pneumonia diagnosis. As the artist's condition, who continues treatment in the intensive care unit, worsened, doctors reportedly decided to intubate him.

Kadir İnanır's life partner, Jülide Kural, also made a statement regarding the artist's health condition. Speaking to Hürriyet, Kural said, "Unfortunately, Kadir was intubated a short while ago. A tumor was detected under the pneumonia in the lung. He was intubated for easier intervention, to prevent pain, and for controlled treatment. Of course, we are facing a very risky situation. That's all I have to say. Hopefully, we will receive good news."
