Businessman and politician Kerim Toker, along with 15 other suspects arrested in a stock market manipulation investigation initiated upon the complaint of the Capital Markets Board, were released during a hearing at the Çağlayan Courthouse.
Following complaints made by the Capital Markets Board, an investigation was launched into allegations of stock market manipulation via social media accounts on behalf of a company. Within the scope of this investigation, one of the 15 suspects detained and arrested in the first week of January, Aydınlı businessman and politician Kerim Toker, has been released. It was learned that all detained suspects, including Kerim Toker, were released in the hearing held at Çağlayan Courthouse.
ALL SUSPECTS RELEASED IN BORSA ISTANBUL INVESTIGATION
Within the scopes of an investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding suspects who were determined to have created artificial price movements in the shares of a company on Borsa Istanbul, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch conducted an operation in the first week of January in Istanbul, Ankara, Gaziantep, Burdur, Aydın, and Adana, following technical and physical surveillance.
Fifteen people, including Kerim Toker from Aydın, were brought before a judge at Çağlayan Courthouse and were arrested as a result of the court hearing. It was learned that today, during the hearing, 15 people, including Kerim Toker, were released.
