Aston Villa became champions by defeating Freiburg 3-0 in the UEFA Europa League final played at Tüpraş Stadium in Istanbul.

In the UEFA Europa League final, German side Freiburg faced English representative Aston Villa. The match, played at Tüpraş Stadium in Istanbul, was won by Aston Villa 3-0.

ASTON VILLA RAN AWAY WITH THE DIFFERENCE

The goals that brought victory to Aston Villa under the management of Unai Emery were scored by Youri Tielemans in the 40th minute, Emiliano Buendia in the 45+2nd minute, and Morgan Rogers in the 57th minute. There were no further goals in the remainder of the match.
