Former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who is being tried under arrest as part of the cooperative case, shared a striking message from prison about the police clearing of the CHP headquarters. Stating that he has been following the developments from his cell, Soyer reacted to the eviction process by saying, "While watching yesterday's events alone in my prison cell, I couldn't hold back my tears; I was devastated. Words have ended. Only deep shame and pain remain. It was probably my hardest day in prison."

Former Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who is being tried under arrest as part of the cooperative case and is held at Izmir No. 1 F-Type High Security Penitentiary Institution, stated that he followed the political developments in Ankara and the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters escorted by police teams on his television screen.

"ONLY DEEP SHAME AND PAIN REMAIN BEHIND"

Tunç Soyer, who did not hide the deep sorrow he felt while watching the political turmoil in Ankara and the evacuation process at the headquarters from the television in his ward, expressed the following in his message shared on social media:

"While watching yesterday's events alone in my prison cell, I could not hold back my tears and was devastated. Words have ended. Only deep shame and pain remain behind. It was probably my hardest day in prison."

Despite the pain he felt in his cell, Soyer, emphasizing his belief that the CHP, which is as old as the republic, will overcome these difficult days, expressed his determination to fight with the following words:

"I know that from tomorrow onwards, we will surely build new words with a new breath. Because hope is about struggle. And we will surely understand the truth better and reunite with new hopes and remedies. I know that we will continue our struggle by uniting and multiplying for our love of the homeland. Our magnificent Plane Tree has seen many storms, and it will certainly overcome this ordeal as well."
