Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made statements during a live broadcast on tv100. Speaking about CHP's Extraordinary Congress, where the amendment to the bylaws was voted on, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he did not attend because the draft was delivered to him late and therefore he could not express his opinion.

"I DID NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PREPARE AN OPINION ABOUT THE BYLAWS"

Kılıçdaroğlu said the following: "He provided information about the bylaws, thanks to Özgür Bey. He asked for my opinion. I said, 'It would not be right for me to express an opinion without a written text.' The draft arrived to me around 7:00 pm the day before the congress. Therefore, I did not have the opportunity to read and prepare an opinion.

"THE STATEMENTS THAT I SUPPORTED THE BYLAW AMENDMENT ARE NOT TRUE"

But the statements made at the congress, that I supported the bylaw amendment or expressed a positive opinion, are not true. Now, if a promise is made to the public and this promise is directly made by the Chairman, the promise should not be left unfulfilled. If a three-term rule is coming, the three-term rules should be applied. But if you also include a formula that allows those who have completed three terms to be re-elected, this is not right. This is not correct. Let's say you are conducting a primary election, you should also have judicial oversight so that it becomes a real primary election. And there are similar promises. It saddened me that these promises were not fulfilled.
