CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, reacting to the fund swindle at the group meeting, said, 'Dirty politicians and bureaucrats joined hands and robbed the citizens; the immunity of fraudulent politicians must be lifted swiftly and they must be tried within the scope of organized crime.'
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), made very harsh statements at his party's parliamentary group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) regarding the fund scandal that shook the agenda. Drawing attention to dirty relations between politicians and bureaucrats, Kılıçdaroğlu called for the immediate lifting of the immunity of individuals implicated in corruption.
"THERE IS NO PLACE IN PARLIAMENT FOR FRAUDSTER POLITICIANS"
Stating that the fund scandal is one of the biggest robberies in the history of the republic, Kılıçdaroğlu pointed to the existence of an organized structure and said, "In a fraud of this magnitude, it is impossible for politicians not to be involved. The immunities of these politicians must also be lifted swiftly. Those who commit corruption and theft, those who rob citizens, must have no place under this roof. If this is an Assembly founded by Atatürk, there is no place under this roof for thieves. Dirty politicians and dirty bureaucrats joined hands and robbed citizens in state institutions. This is the summary of the fund scandal. The fund scandal is the biggest scandal the Republic of Turkey has ever seen," he said.
"EVERYONE CLOSE TO THE PALACE IS INVOLVED IN THIS AFFAIR"
Reacting to the lack of oversight and stock market movements in the process, the CHP leader drew attention to warnings from foreign institutions and continued his criticism: "Shares on the stock exchange have increased by exactly 1,424 times. No one says a word. Why? Well, the bureaucrat is involved, the politician is involved. Everyone close to the Palace is involved in this affair. Foreign supervisory institutions say that something is happening at Borsa Istanbul. They warn, and the matter explodes after that."
"THEY MUST BE TRIED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ORGANIZED CRIME"
Arguing that the investigation must extend equally to all parties and individuals, Kılıçdaroğlu concluded his speech with these words: "Regardless of the identity, party, or who they are, the list of all those who carried out the fund scandal must be disclosed and they must be tried within the scope of organized crime. An opportunity has come into our hands. The place this corruption has reached is not an ordinary place. If bureaucrats and politicians are robbing citizens, we have to put our hats in front of us."
