Addressing party members at the Headquarters, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu targeted Özgür Özel over the incarcerated Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri. Referring to allegations that Özel takes orders from İmamoğlu, Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "The CHP does not accept tutelage. It does not operate under guardianship. No one receives orders and voices them in public squares. That is done by the party chairman."
The crisis regarding CHP's group meeting to be held in Parliament is over. While Özgür Özel was speaking at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the chairmanship with a 'nullity' decision, took the podium at the headquarters.
STRUCK ÖZEL THROUGH İMAMOĞLU
In his speech, Kılıçdaroğlu harshly targeted Özgür Özel without naming him, saying, "CHP does not accept tutelage. It does not work under tutelage. No one takes orders and voices them in squares. That is done by the party leader," referring to claims that Özel took orders from İmamoğlu.
\"CHP LEADER GOING ABROAD AND...\"
In one part of his speech, again targeting Özel, Kılıçdaroğlu said, \"I always acted with good intentions, never looked at anyone with ill will. But while doing so, I always maintained moral foundations. I took care to preserve Turkey's dignity in the domestic and international arena. No CHP leader can go abroad and say why aren't you helping us. How can members of a party that fought against seven powers go abroad and say you are leaving us alone. Turkey is an example for all oppressed nations in the fight against imperialism. I would be dishonorable if I did not hold the five cartels that devour this nation's rights and laws accountable.\"
Highlights from Kılıçdaroğlu's statements;
\"I want you to believe that I am doing everything for you. I am doing everything for the beautiful people of this country. I will never embarrass you. I will defend rights and laws in every environment. The only party producing rational solutions to Turkey's and the region's problems is CHP. CHP congresses are where thoughts are freely expressed; they are festive congresses. There is no money or interest in CHP congresses. Because this party is the party of Mustafa Kemal, İnönü, and Ecevit.
\"WE WILL BE CLEANSED OF FILTH\"
We will be cleansed, we will be cleansed of filth. We will practice clean politics. We will terminate all those who are dirty. This party is a party that sets direction for the state. It is a state-founding, state-building party. It is a hardworking party that preserves ethics to its core. We will work together with dedication.
\"IN NO PERIOD OF CHP'S HISTORY...\"
In no period of CHP's history have congress bargains been made in nightclubs. They criticize me for saying this. Ethics, ethics. Virtue, virtue. Justice, justice. Cleanliness, cleanliness. CHP has woven these into its fabric. Where there is no justice, no love, there can be no order. 'I give you money, you give me votes.' This party does not accept such a thing. Those who sell their will for money cannot be in this party. They are not in this party, and they will not be.
\"I WOULD BE DISHONORABLE IF I DID NOT HOLD THE FIVE CARTELS ACCOUNTABLE\"
I always acted with good intentions, never looked at anyone with ill will. I would be dishonorable if I did not hold the five cartels that devour this nation's rights and laws accountable. I would be dishonorable if I did not hold drug barons accountable. I would be dishonorable if I did not save this party from those who buy and sell wills with money. There are big changes in the outside world; we all know how valuable Hormuz is, what is CHP saying about this. If CHP does not defend the interests of this state, who will? If CHP does not defend the rights of workers and laborers, who will?
\"THERE ARE SOME TV OWNERS BASED IN LONDON\"
While fighting for rights, we must be shoulder to shoulder. There are some TV owners based in London. Just as delegates are bought and sold with money, TV channels should not be bought and sold with money either. I will put a stop to that too. If we do not step out of petty debates, it harms all of us. Our moral values have never been questioned. We have been accused of everything. At times called communist, at times fascist, but even the most dissenting has not questioned CHP's values. The entire Islamic world looks up to us.
\"CHP DOES NOT ACCEPT TUTELAGE\"
CHP does not accept tutelage. It does not work under tutelage. No one takes orders and voices them in squares. That is done by the party leader. If our moral values are being debated, everyone needs to think about that. So I will do whatever is necessary. I will cleanse the party of filth. I will not be prejudiced. I have no thought of saying 'this is how it is' and expelling people. I would be dishonorable if I did not hold those who brought the nullity lawsuit upon this party accountable. It is a blow to our moral superiority. Whoever was involved, whoever took money in nightclub corners, we will say goodbye to them.
\"MY SON, YOU STAND RIGHT, THE WRONG WILL FIND ITS JUSTICE\"
My late father would say, 'my son, you stand right, the wrong will find its justice.' For a politician to demand accountability, they must be in a position to give it. We can demand accountability from everyone without bending. Giving an account is an honorable duty. Honorable people give accounts. If someone avoids accountability, there is darkness there. CHP's lantern will illuminate that darkness.
\"DON'T FORGET, YOU HAVE A BIG BROTHER KEMAL IN ANKARA\"
I would have liked us to hold this meeting in Parliament. Today we gathered here, we have beauty of heart, we have coexistence of men and women. Because I always acted with good intentions, it was exploited. But up to a point. Once we reach that point, we will cut it off. Don't worry, we will do great things together. When you struggle, don't forget you have a big brother Kemal in Ankara. I also want to address the youth; don't be swayed by social media, trolls, or certain individuals. Use your minds and learn to question. We will certainly hold a moral and virtuous congress. No one will make private deals behind closed doors.\"
