Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made statements during a live broadcast on KRT TV. Speaking about his words, "I entered the election with daggers in my back," made during the congress where he lost the chairmanship to Özgür Özel, Kılıçdaroğlu used striking expressions.
KILIÇDAROĞLU'S STRIKING STATEMENT
Kılıçdaroğlu said: "It was much debated. It is still being debated. Ethics, moral values, and trust are very important in politics. The relationships you establish with friends, the people you are fate companions and road companions with, you carry many events in trust, but it is not right to discuss this trust beyond face-to-face discussions and to walk a different path through backdoor discussions. For that reason, I had used the term 'dagger' at the congress.
"YOUR ROAD COMPANION SHOULD NOT BETRAY YOU"
Your road companion should not betray you. If there is any hesitation or different opinions, it can be expressed very comfortably. This exists in the structure of the CHP. We always value criticism. I never interrupted the words of the friends who criticized during my chairmanship. I always trusted my friends, and within that trust, we shared our views and secrets. Being a road companion is not an easy task. I had said, "It is difficult to be Bay Kemal's road companion." It is indeed difficult. It means being together in both sorrow and joy.
