Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has started the construction of a new sports facility in the Sevindikli neighborhood of the Körfez district to meet the facility needs of Kocaelispor and strengthen the city's sports infrastructure. As part of the project, 7 football fields will be built, featuring underfloor heating with hybrid grass, natural grass, and synthetic grass.

NEW FACILITY ON 75 ACRES
In this context, the construction works of the sports facility, which will rise on a 75-acre land, have begun. The massive facility, consisting of modern football and training fields, will meet all the needs of athletes when it opens. While the basic equipment manufacturing continues on the site, the concrete pouring works of the surrounding retaining wall are also being carried out without interruption. The demolition of the existing grandstand is nearing completion, while filling works in the pond area are ongoing.
7 FOOTBALL FIELDS WILL BE BUILT
The facility, planned to be used by Kocaelispor, is designed to have 14,800 square meters of indoor space and 59,700 square meters of field and outdoor sports areas. As part of the project, 7 football fields will be constructed, including hybrid grass with underfloor heating, natural grass, and synthetic grass. The facility will also include amenities such as a goalkeeper training field, an indoor carpet field, tennis and basketball courts, two grandstands with a capacity of 1,032 spectators, a swimming pool, a shock pool, a Finnish bath, a sauna, a fitness room, and a physiotherapy room.
