WHO IS SERHADO?
Serhado (real name Serhad Ayaz), born on December 15, 1984 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is a Kurdish rap artist originally from Midyat, Mardin. Considered one of the pioneering names of Kurdish rap/hip-hop music, the artist started his music career rapping in Swedish at a young age, then turned completely to Kurdish music. He made a big breakthrough with his first album titled Yaşam Rüyası (Life Dream) released in 2007, reaching a wide audience by addressing themes such as love, life, social struggle, and the Kurdish language in his songs.
