In the Etiler neighborhood of Beşiktaş, Istanbul, the stairs and retaining wall at the entrance of a building next to which construction work was being carried out collapsed as a result of a landslide. Those trapped in the building were rescued through the intervention of firefighting teams dispatched to the scene. The teams' work in the area is ongoing.
In Beşiktaş, Istanbul, a staircase at the entrance of a building collapsed as a result of a landslide. The incident occurred in a building next to which construction work was being carried out in Etiler; the retaining wall at the entrance of the building also collapsed.
THEY WERE TRAPPED IN THE BUILDING WHEN THE ENTRANCE COLLAPSED
After the staircase collapsed, a fire brigade team was dispatched to the scene to evacuate those trapped in the building. Those trapped in the building were rescued through the intervention of fire brigade teams.
