1st League team Vanspor decided to play their home matches at Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium due to the demolition process of Van Atatürk Stadium. The distance between Van and Akhisar, located at two different ends of Turkey, was calculated to be exactly 1738 kilometers by road.

Vanspor, one of the teams in the Trendyol 1st League, will play their home matches in the 2026-2027 season at Akhisar Spor Toto Stadium.

VANSPOR'S AKHISAR DECISION

It was reported that Vanspor officials, who have been searching for a stadium for a long time since the demolition process of Van Atatürk Stadium began, have decided on Akhisar. The stadium, with a capacity of 12,139 spectators, whose foundation was laid on March 6, 2014, and which was opened for service on January 28, 2018, hosted its last league match of the regular season on May 7, 2021.

THEY WILL CROSS TURKEY FROM END TO END

This decision has brought about a rare situation in Turkish football. Due to this choice, which stretches from one end of the map to the other, Vanspor will have to undertake a massive away journey for each "home" match. The road distance between Van in Eastern Anatolia and the charming district of Akhisar in the Aegean region was calculated to be exactly 1,738 kilometers.
