A fire broke out after an explosion during welding work at an iron-steel factory operating in the Osmaniye Organized Industrial Zone. In the fire, workers Ahmet Yıldırım and Tajdin Togar lost their lives, while 1 worker was injured.
In a fire that broke out at an iron-steel factory in Osmaniye Organized Industrial Zone, 2 workers lost their lives and 1 worker was injured.
EXPLOSION DURING WELDING
The incident occurred at noon at an iron-steel factory in Osmaniye OIZ. According to the information obtained, a small-scale explosion occurred for an undetermined reason while workers were welding. Shortly after the explosion, a fire broke out in the factory.
BODIES OF 2 WORKERS FOUND
Upon reports from those nearby, health and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene promptly. The fire was brought under control and extinguished with the intervention of the fire brigade teams.
During the checks conducted by the teams, it was determined that workers Ahmet Yıldırım and Tajdin Togar lost their lives at the scene. The other worker injured during the accident was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated after initial medical intervention.
The lifeless bodies of the deceased workers were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy after examinations.
A comprehensive investigation has been launched into the incident.
