In the indictment prepared for Cemal Alpaslan, who ambushed and killed İlayda Alkaş, whom he was religiously married to, with 12 bullets in Diyarbakır, an aggravated life sentence was demanded. It was revealed that the suspect, who fled for 5 months after the murder committed on July 15, subjected the young woman to such severe violence that it caused her to miscarry while pregnant. The indictment emphasized that İlayda fled from city to city to save her life, while the defendant planned the murder by waiting at a coffeehouse on the day of the incident.

The investigation into Cemal Alpaslan (30), who killed İlayda Alkaş (22), with whom he lived in a religious marriage, by shooting her with a pistol in front of her family's eyes in Diyarbakır, has been completed. In the indictment prepared by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an aggravated life sentence was sought for the suspect on the charge of "Premeditated intentional killing."

AMBUSHED AND FIRED 12 BULLETS

The incident occurred on July 15, 2025, in the Şehitlik neighborhood of Yenişehir district. İlayda Alkaş, while returning from a friend's birthday and walking home with her family, was ambushed by Cemal Alpaslan, who was waiting for her in a coffeehouse. The young woman, hit by 12 bullets, died at the hospital where she was taken. The suspect, who fled after the incident, was captured in an operation in Şırnak on December 16, after being on the run for 5 months, and was arrested.

SYSTEMATIC VIOLENCE AND MISCARRIAGE CLAIM

Details in the indictment revealed the spiral of violence the young woman was subjected to. According to the statements of her mother Hülya Alkaş, İlayda was imprisoned at home by Cemal Alpaslan during their cohabitation and cut off from the outside world. It was stated that the young woman miscarried as a result of being beaten while 2 months pregnant, and due to lack of safety, she tried to disappear by fleeing with her mother to provinces such as Batman, İzmir, and Antalya.

"KILL IF YOU'RE GOING TO KILL"

The investigation file also contained shocking allegations regarding İlayda's father. It was claimed that the father, who allegedly forced his daughter back to the house where she was abused by threatening her, used phrases like "Throw yourself down, I'm not interfering. Kill if you're going to kill" in response to his daughter's cries for help.
