The investigation into the murder of footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, who was killed in an armed attack in Ümraniye, Istanbul, has been completed. In the indictment, life imprisonment was sought for Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu and Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, while up to 5 years in prison was requested for İzzet Yıldızhan.
The investigation into the incident in which 21-year-old footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı was killed in an armed attack inside a vehicle in Ümraniye, Istanbul, has been completed. The indictment prepared by the Istanbul Anatolian Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office General Investigation Bureau was drawn up against 9 suspects, including Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, İzzet Yıldızhan, and Alaattin Kalaycıoğlu.
YOUNG FOOTBALLER BECAME THE TARGET OF BULLETS
The incident occurred on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Ümraniye. According to the claim, rapper Vahap Canbay from the group Canbay & Wolker wanted to reconcile with singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, whom he had recently separated from. Canbay asked for help from his friend Kubilay Kundakçı (21), who was known to have a good relationship with them. Kubilay Kundakçı, along with Vahap Canbay and his friends, went to the front of the studio where Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was. While the group was waiting inside the vehicle, according to the claim, the suspects who arrived at the scene in luxury vehicles with strobe lights carried out the attack. The footballer Kubilay Kundakçı, who became the target of the bullets, was seriously injured. The young man, who was taken to the hospital, died despite all interventions.
7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Among the suspects whose testimony procedures at the prosecutor's office were completed, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, İzzet Yıldızhan, Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, M.R., H.C.A., M.K., and E.T. were arrested and sent to prison by the criminal judgeship of peace to which they were referred with a request for arrest.
LIFE IMPRISONMENT SOUGHT FOR ALAATTİN KADAYIFÇIOĞLU AND ALEYNA KALAYCIOĞLU
The investigation into the murder of footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı has been completed. In the indictment, while life imprisonment was sought for the detainee Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu on charges of 'Intentional killing' and 'Unlicensed possession of a weapon', life imprisonment was requested for Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu on the charge of 'Incitement to intentional murder'. On the other hand, for folk music singer İzzet Yıldızhan, a prison sentence of 6 months to 5 years was requested on the charge of 'Harboring a criminal'.
