In an accident in the Turgutlu district of Manisa, where a light commercial vehicle crashed into a work machine parked on the roadside, 67-year-old Fahri Topalcık lost his life and two people were injured.
In the Turgutlu district of Manisa, one person died and one person was injured in an accident in which a light commercial vehicle crashed into construction machinery.
CRASHED INTO CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY
The accident occurred at around 20:00 on Yedieylül Yolu Street in Şehitler Neighborhood. The light commercial vehicle with license plate 09 ACR 708, driven by Bülent D. (38), was traveling toward Karaağaç road when it crashed into an excavator parked on the side of the road and being used for trench-digging work.
LOST HIS LIFE
Upon notification, medical, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured driver, Bülent D., and passengers in the vehicle, Fahri Topalcık and Mustafa Ali B. (54), were taken to nearby hospitals by medical teams. Despite all interventions at Turgutlu State Hospital, Fahri Topalcık, one of the injured, lost his life. Topalcık's body was taken to the hospital morgue.
The work area where the construction machinery was located was reported to be surrounded by a safety cordon, and the road was open to traffic after the accident. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
