In Turgutlu district of Manisa, the nose of Imran Guler, which was bitten off by her husband Gokhan Guler (29), was reattached through surgery. Guler, who is still under treatment at the hospital, said, "He suddenly grabbed my throat and attacked. When I defended myself, he bit off my nose. In pain, I even considered jumping off the balcony. I will pursue the complaint to the end."
A shocking act of violence against a woman occurred in Turgutlu district of Manisa. Gökhan Güler (29) attacked his wife İmran Güler (28) at their home after arriving heavily intoxicated, biting and tearing off the unfortunate woman's nose. The woman, rescued from the home with the help of firefighters, had her severed nose surgically reattached, while the brutal husband was arrested and sent to prison.
BIT OFF HIS WIFE'S NOSE
The incident took place around 11:00 PM the previous day on Badem Street in Yıldırım Neighborhood. An argument broke out between Gökhan Güler and his wife İmran Güler for an undetermined reason, quickly turning into a fight. Gökhan Güler bit and tore off his wife İmran Güler's nose. Neighbors who heard the noise reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, police, medical, and fire department teams were dispatched to the address. As the door would not open, teams took security precautions. Firefighters set up a jump cushion in front of the building against any possible adverse event, while İmran Güler was evacuated from the balcony using a fire truck ladder. Police teams also entered the house with fire department support and took Gökhan Güler into custody.
ARRESTED
İmran Güler was referred to Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital for plastic surgery after initial treatment at Turgutlu State Hospital. It was reported that the two daughters, aged 5 and 7, who were at home during the incident, are in good condition.
Meanwhile, during the suspect's removal from the home by police teams, a brief scuffle occurred between security forces and neighbors who reacted to the incident. Güler was arrested on charges of 'Intentional injury' by the court to which he was referred yesterday.
"HE WAS VERY DRUNK"
İmran Güler, mother of two daughters, had her severed nose reattached in an operation yesterday. İmran Güler, who is continuing treatment at the hospital, recounted the incident. Güler said, "He was very drunk, could barely stand. As soon as he entered the room, I knew he would cause trouble. I didn't respond to avoid an argument. He suddenly grabbed my throat and attacked me. When I defended myself, he bit my nose. The pain made me consider jumping from the balcony. I am pressing charges to the fullest extent."
