A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Cuba. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 6.1 magnitude tremor was recorded with its epicenter approximately 104 kilometers northwest of the city of Mantua, Cuba.

The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, was felt in Mantua, other coastal settlements in the western part of the country, and in Mexico. No casualties or property damage were reported following the earthquake.
