Mango founder Isak Andiç's son detained after his death

The founder of one of Spain's major textile companies, Mango, 71-year-old Isak Andiç Ermay, who held Turkish and Spanish citizenship, died in December 2024 after falling during a mountain trip. Following the incident, a murder investigation was launched, and his son Jonathan Andiç was taken into custody.

According to a report by La Vanguardia, the local police in Catalonia, Los Mossos d'Esquadra, have arrested Jonathan Andic on suspicion of killing his father, Isak Andic.

FELL FROM A 100-METER CLIFF

Isak Andic, born in Istanbul and from a Sephardic Jewish family, emigrated to Spain at the age of 14 and lived in Barcelona for many years. Isak Andic died on the evening of December 14, 2024, after falling approximately 100 meters while walking in the Montserrat mountainous area north of Barcelona.

INVESTIGATION INVOLVING HIS SON WAS ONGOING

An investigation had been underway for some time regarding Isak Andic's son, Jonathan, who was with him at the time. During the judicial process, Jonathan Andic denied allegations that he was responsible for his father's death.
