ÖZEL ALSO DESCRIBED THE MEETING

CHP leader Özgür Özel, who made evaluations during his party's TBMM Group Meeting today, stated, "In that meeting, we reached full consensus on the need for everyone to do their best for the party's success, to comply with party decisions, and to ensure that our nation is not disappointed. Secondly, we discussed the request and suggestion regarding the two names that have become a hope for Turkey not to wear each other down by entering the primary election race, and we reached a consensus on this matter. Mr. Mansur Yavaş informed us that he would not enter the primary election where the presidential candidate will be determined and stated the following sentence. He wanted this to be known: 'They are all our party members, of course, I respect the decision they will make, we all respect it.' And thirdly, we agreed that all these processes, including the primary election process, should be carried out with common sense together, and that we should come together more often from now on. Our goal is clear, we will stand tall against those who confront us with the rod of justice, against those who try to stir our insides."

ALL EYES TURNED TO MARCH 23

Özel also announced the primary election date, stating, "According to the decision we made, we will determine our presidential candidate with the primary election to be held on Sunday, March 23. May it be auspicious."
