It occurred last Monday afternoon at a market on İboosman Street in the central Seyhan district of Adana. According to allegations, an unidentified person who arrived at the market by bicycle quickly stuffed two 1-liter bottles of sunflower oil, priced at 80 TL each, into the inside of his pants while in the aisle where the sunflower oils were sold. After wandering around for a while, the individual then left the market as if nothing had happened and rode away on his bicycle. NOTICED WHILE COUNTINGWhile counting at the end of the day, employees noticed that the oils were missing, and while reviewing the security camera footage, they realized that the oils had been stolen. The market owner did not file a complaint. Speaking to İhlas News Agency, market owner Sedat Karakaya said, "The man comes and puts the sunflower oils into his pants. Recently, such thefts have been increasing. There had been thefts before, and we had reported them to the police. Generally, thefts of toothpaste, shampoo, cheese, and sunflower oil occur," he stated. "A SOLUTION MUST BE FOUND FOR THIS SITUATION"Karakaya, who mentioned that someone had stolen pistachios last week, said, "These thieves steal the products and sell them elsewhere. They do not use them themselves. We have caught thieves and handed them over to the police. When we catch them, they say they regret it, but we cannot find a solution. A bottle of oil or cheese is not very expensive, but the police need to intervene in this matter. These individuals have made it a profession," he expressed.
