13 people died and 3 were injured when a passenger van rear-ended a truck in China's Henan province. The nine-seat minibus involved in the accident was found to be carrying passengers beyond its capacity. MINIBUS REAR-ENDS TRUCK

According to the Xinhua news agency, the accident occurred in the city of Nanyang. A passenger minibus traveling on the highway rear-ended a truck moving in the same direction.

The impact caused passengers inside the minibus to become trapped.

13 OF 16 PASSENGERS KILLED

Authorities stated that 13 of the 16 passengers in the minibus died at the scene. It was reported that 3 people injured in the accident were taken to the hospital for treatment.
