In a statement, Icardi mentioned that he had a successful operation and thanked all the staff, saying, "I also want to thank my big family, Galatasaray, for following every detail and organizing everything. I will be back soon." The experienced forward is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Galatasaray's Argentine star Mauro Icardi underwent surgery in Argentina after a cruciate ligament injury.

Having successfully completed the operation, Icardi shared the following message on social media;
