Message from Minister of National Defense Güler on July 15: We will never allow any traitor to wear the glorious uniform of our army.

Minister of National Defense Güler said, "Our ministry's fight against the treacherous FETÖ will continue with determination until there is no personnel left associated with the organization. We will never allow any traitor to wear the glorious uniform of our heroic army."

The Ministry of National Defense held a commemoration ceremony on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Minister Güler, who sent a video message to the ceremony, emphasized the importance and necessity of remembering July 15 as a means of learning from the past.

The ceremony, held at the Atatürk Cultural Center of the Ministry of National Defense, was attended by Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, force commanders, deputy ministers, Deputy Chief of General Staff, and the families of martyrs and veterans. The ceremony, which began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, continued with a performance prepared by the Directorate of Culture and Art.

"UNTIL THERE IS NOT A SINGLE AFFILIATED PERSON LEFT..."

Minister Güler stated that the Turkish Armed Forces continue to work with enthusiasm and effort, saying, "Our noble state has not left the blood of our martyrs and veterans on the ground, but has held accountable for the tears of their loved ones, and will continue to do so. The fight of our ministry against the treacherous FETÖ organization will continue with determination and resolve until there is not a single affiliated person left. We will never allow any traitor to wear the glorious uniform of our heroic army. In conclusion, in this historic and blessed period as we enter the second century of our Republic, we will continue our work with enthusiasm and effort for a greater and stronger Turkey and Turkish Armed Forces, in accordance with the goals of the 'Turkey Century' in line with the Constitution and laws, within the framework of our national, spiritual, and professional values, guided by the principles and reforms of Atatürk, and with the guidance of reason and science, in harmony, coordination, and consultation with all stakeholders, as we have done until now."

"THE TSK HAS ACHIEVED A GROUND-BREAKING SUCCESS"

Minister Güler emphasized that the events that took place on July 15 were one of the finest examples of the unity between the army and the people, saying, "The sinister coup attempt planned by the treacherous FETÖ for over 40 years was suppressed in a very short time, and the importance our nation attaches to independence and freedom was once again declared to the whole world. This national and strong stance against those who aim to harm our unity and solidarity is the clearest evidence of the courage displayed by our noble nation at the cost of their lives and the high character of the Turkish army. Indeed, just as our Turkish Armed Forces rushed to martyrdom without hesitation in Çanakkale, in the War of Independence, in Korea, and in Cyprus in the past, they also defeated the infiltrators side by side with our citizens on July 15, demonstrating their belief in democracy once again and achieving a ground-breaking success."

GRATITUDE TO MARTYRS AND VETERANS

Güler emphasized that the Turkish Armed Forces have been cleansed of traitors and continue to carry out their duties in a more effective, deterrent, and respected manner, successfully carrying out the most intense activities of the past century. Of course, the greatest contribution to this great success belongs to our martyrs and veterans, such as Ömer Halisdemir, who stood against traitors with an unwavering will to protect their homeland. May the souls of our martyrs rest in peace and may our veterans have long and healthy lives."
